Sandy Nessing

Sandy Nessing is a seasoned sustainability executive and consultant with nearly three decades of experience in the energy sector. They have held leadership roles at American Electric Power, where they directed enterprise sustainability initiatives and advised C-suite executives, while also engaging in public speaking and authoring key publications. Currently, Sandy serves as the Founder of PurposePower, LLC, and a Senior Advisor at TRC Companies, where they focus on driving impactful environmental initiatives. They are also an active board member for several organizations, including the Board of Directors of CleanCounts and Datamaran, and have received the Charles H. Moore Award for Leadership in Corporate Community Engagement in 2024. Sandy's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Technical Management from DeVry University and an Associate of Applied Science in Broadcast Communications from Briarwood College.
