Toby Turla is currently a Graduate Teaching Assistant at The Johns Hopkins University, focusing on an Introduction to Public Health course, while also serving as an Educator at lululemon and a Pro Bono Consultant for the Johns Hopkins Graduate Consulting Club. As a Graduate Student at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Toby is conducting research on the impacts of climate change on HIV in Sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia. In addition to these roles, Toby co-founded Peer2Peer, a student-led organization that provides mental health resources, and has significant experience as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant during time at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Toby's educational background includes a Master's degree in Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering from Johns Hopkins and a Bachelor of Science in the same field from UNC, complemented by a solid foundation in research and community engagement.
