Mala Patel

Mala Patel has a diverse work experience in the field of product design and user experience. Mala is currently working as a Senior Product Designer at Treamer since July 2023. Prior to this, Mala worked at Smartly.io as a Senior Product Designer from April 2022 to June 2023 and as a Product Designer from November 2018 to April 2022. At Smartly.io, they were responsible for designing creative automation solutions for large digital advertisers and building a strong design team and culture. Before that, Mala worked at Walmart Labs as a User Experience Architect from August 2017 to August 2018. Additionally, they have also worked at EdgeVerve as a User Experience Design - Member from March 2015 to July 2017, where they designed products and conducted various design processes. Mala started their career as a Design Intern at Honeywell Technology Solutions, Inc. in April 2014, and later worked as an Assistant System Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services from December 2010 to June 2012.

Mala Patel's education history includes a Master's degree in Human Computer Interaction and Design from Aalto University in 2018. Prior to that, they completed a Master's degree in New Media Design from the National Institute of Design from 2012 to 2015. Mala also holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Electronics & Telecommunication from Fr. Conceicao Rodrigues College of Engineering, which they earned from 2006 to 2010. In addition to their formal education, Mala Patel obtained a certification in "Data-Driven Design: Quantitative Research for UX" from the Interaction Design Foundation (IxDF) in June 2023.
