Liam Bates

Liam Bates has extensive work experience in software engineering, with a focus on iOS and other Apple platforms. Liam worked as a Senior Mobile Engineer at Treeline, where they created multiple MVPs and maintained existing applications. Liam also designed APIs, Bluetooth protocols, and Augmented Reality solutions for the apps. Liam utilized a range of technologies including UIKit, SwiftUI, Swift, Obj-C, JSON, GraphQL, and BLE.

As an independent software engineer, Liam developed apps and games for all Apple platforms and released them directly to the App Store. Their app SeasonEats became one of the Top 50 paid apps in the 'Food & Drink' category. Liam also had experience as a Software Engineer at thisdotsoftware, where they created a Safari browser extension using React.js and Swift.

Prior to their software engineering roles, Liam worked at State Street Global Advisors as an Assistant Vice President/Client Relationship Manager, specializing in business development for institutional clients. Liam also held a role as a Retirement Services Analyst at J.P. Morgan Asset Management.

Liam's earlier experience includes working as an Access to Health Records Supervisor at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust and as a Research Assistant at Kingston University.

Liam Bates completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Psychology (Hons) from Kingston University. Liam attended Kingston University from 2007 to 2010. Prior to that, Liam attended Havering Sixth Form College from 2004 to 2006, where they studied Computer Science, Business Studies, and Psychology. In addition to their education history, Liam also obtained the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) Unit 1 from CFA UK in November 2014.
