Robin Moffatt has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Starting in 2001 at Waitrose, they worked as a Datawarehouse Specialist and Senior Programmer, gaining expertise in BusinessObjects and Datastage tools. In 2007, they joined John Lewis as a Senior SQL Server DBA, focusing on all aspects of production and development DBA roles. From 2009 to 2011, Robin worked as a Datawarehouse Specialist at Wm Morrison Supermarkets Plc, where they were responsible for architecture, deployment, administration, and support of OBIEE. Robin also developed a proven performance testing method for OBIEE and implemented a SCM method for code control. Robin then joined Rittman Mead in 2011, where they held various roles such as Principal Consultant and Head of R&D, Europe. During this time, they worked on projects involving Exalytics deployment and OBIEE performance analytics services. In 2017, they joined Confluent as a Developer Advocate, gradually progressing to the role of Principal Developer Advocate. In addition, they served as the Kafka Summit Program Committee Chair and member, contributing to the review and selection of talks. Currently, Robin is working as a Principal DevEx Engineer at Treeverse, utilizing their expertise in creating the lakeFS.

Robin Moffatt attended the University of York from 1998 to 2001, where they obtained a BA (Hons) with a 2:1 grade in Music. Prior to that, from 1990 to 1997, they attended High Storrs, although no specific degree or field of study information is available for this period.
