Will Zhu

Will Zhu is currently a Product Engineer, Analytics at Treez. Prior to that, they were a Software Engineer at GamerLink from September 2015 to October 2020. Will's responsibilities there included working with NodeJs / Java, Cassandra / MongoDB / Redis / Elasticsearch, GraphQL / RESTful API, and AWS / Docker. Before GamerLink, they were a Software Developer at Gore Mutual Insurance Company from January 2015 to August 2015, where they wrote .NET code using C#, MS Entity Framework, Team Foundation Server and SQL Server to integrate legacy habitational, auto and commercial systems with the new system. Will also applied unit tests to produce the highest quality code long before testers got to testing it. Additionally, they planned and implemented performance test and optimized code by analyzing testing results to improve loading efficiency. The estimated time to load last 6 years’ policies was reduced extremely from 19 days to 5 hours after applying applicable technologies including parallel programming and bulk insert etc. Will also participated in daily scrum and sprint planning to keep track of projects. Prior to their role at Gore Mutual Insurance Company, Will was a Multimedia Developer at D2L from May 2014 to August 2014.

Will Zhu received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering from McMaster University. Will is certified by Amazon Web Services (AWS) in AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and AWS Certified Developer – Associate.
