Established in 1997 by Pam and Alan Trefler, the Trefler Foundation seeks to become a vital voice in the communities we serve, and offer support where it’s needed most. 

Both historically and today, the Foundation is guided by its founding principle: to follow passion, not precedent. Where other funders see risk, we see possibility. The Foundation sees its giving as an opportunity to support new ideas in new ways and, in doing so, to create progress and change in communities in and around Boston.
