In 2002, they worked as a DevOps Engineer for Rosetta Inpharmatics, where they developed an application to allow scientific staff to cooperatively edit reports, developed a database and tools for tracking NCBI contigs and transcripts, and developed a web interface for a database system supporting a RT-PCR laboratory.

Ralph Santos attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1987 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Humanities.
