Chao Sun

Chao Sun is a Principal Security Researcher at Trellix, specializing in NDR research since January 2022. Previously, Chao held the position of Senior Security Researcher, focusing on feature design, collaboration with project management, and leading a team of researchers in areas such as HTTP2, MITRE analysis, malware file extraction, URL reputation, and DNS security, as well as managing MAPP threat and vulnerability processes and developing IPS signatures. Prior to joining Trellix, Chao worked at McAfee as an IDT Engineer from August 2009 to January 2022 and held engineering roles at NSFOCUS from December 2004 to August 2009, where five years were dedicated to Quality Assurance, along with a brief engineering stint at McAfee in 2009.
