Michael Sweeny

Michael Sweeny has extensive experience in public relations, currently serving as the Senior Director of Global/NABU PR at Trend Micro since November 2002. Prior to this role, Michael held the position of Director of Corporate Communications at PlaceWare, which was sold to Microsoft in December 2002. Michael also served as Senior Vice President at The Weber Group from 1997 to 2002, when the firm merged into Weber Shandwick Worldwide. Earlier roles include Director of PR at Sun Microsystems and Symantec, as well as leadership positions at The Benjamin Group and Shandwick. Michael began a career in public relations as a Group Supervisor at Hill & Knowlton. Academic credentials include a B.A. earned cum laude in Honors Curriculum from Villanova University and a B.S. in Science from Penn State University.
