Simon O'Shea

Simon O'Shea is an accomplished professional in the cybersecurity field, currently serving as the Manager of Europe MDR Operations at Trend Micro since January 2016. In this role, Simon oversees the Managed XDR SOC/OPs Team, building upon previous experience as a Security Incident Analyst within the same team. Prior to Trend Micro, Simon worked as a Security Event Analyst at Mandiant, focusing on network traffic and endpoint event analysis for EMEA and global clients. Simon's career began at FireEye, Inc. as a Technical Support Engineer and included a formative internship as a Student Network Engineer at HEAnet Limited. Educationally, Simon holds a Bachelor of Science in Mobile Communications and Security from the University of Limerick, complemented by a Leaving Certificate from St. Fachtna's de la Salle in Skibbereen, Co. Cork.
