Hy Cheong

HY Cheong has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. HY is currently the Asia Business Development Director at Trend Technologies, a role they have held since October 2018. Prior to that, they served as the Group Business Development Director at Fu Yu Corporation from July 2016 to October 2018.

From January 2009 to June 2016, HY Cheong worked as the Senior Manager of Business Development at Venture Corporation Limited, where they were responsible for the Asia Pacific region. HY played a crucial role in managing customer relationships and identifying new business opportunities. HY also worked closely with the operations team to improve customer network and business contacts, while developing strategies to achieve marketing and business development goals.

Before that, HY Cheong served as the General Manager of Business Development at Siemens Electronics Assembly Systems from August 2005 to December 2008. HY also held the position of General Manager of the SMT Division at Schmidt Electronics Asia Limited, where they provided executive leadership and managed the SMT business in Greater China from December 2002 to July 2005.

In addition, HY Cheong was the General Manager of Sales at Fuji Machines Limited from January 2001 to December 2002, where they led the sales and marketing team for Fuji Machines sales in Southeast Asia. HY also served as the Director of Operations at Technomatix Unicam from November 1998 to December 2000.

HY Cheong obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the National University of Singapore. HY completed their undergraduate studies from 1983 to 1987.

Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in the Management of Technology from Nanyang Technological University Singapore. HY completed their postgraduate studies from 1994 to 1997.
