Farhan Asad

Farhan Asad has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Farhan started their career in 2005 as a Software Engineer at NetSol Technologies Inc., where they developed the database layer for Toyota Leasing Thailand and worked on business-to-business solutions.

In 2007, Farhan joined Risk Management Solutions as a Software Engineer, specializing in .NET technologies and COM interfaces. Farhan was responsible for developing the user interface of Risk Link, a catastrophe modeling software.

In 2010, Farhan moved to Moody's Corporation as an Associate Director - Lead Software Engineer. Farhan focused on the UI architecture of the WSA Desktop product, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.

Farhan then joined Moody's Analytics in 2014 as an Associate Director - Lead Software Engineer, leading front-end and middle-tier development for the Structured Finance Portal Financial Website. Farhan continued to excel at Moody's Analytics, taking on roles such as Director - Software Architecture and Senior Director - Lead Software Architect. Farhan developed FinTech products and led large software teams, with a focus on scalable back-end infrastructure and advanced data analytics.

In 2015, Farhan briefly worked as a Principal Software Engineer/Architect at Philips Healthcare Research before returning to Moody's Analytics. During their second tenure, they held various roles, including Senior Director - Software Architecture and Senior Director - Lead Software Architect.

Most recently, Farhan joined Trepp, Inc. in 2019. Farhan has held positions such as VP - Head of Partnerships, BT, and Architecture, VP - Head of Digital Transformation, Data and Analytics, and currently serves as the Senior Vice President - Head of Platform Engineering. In these roles, they have been responsible for driving the data and analytics strategy, leading product redesign efforts, and overseeing the development of the Trepp Platform, a modern cloud-based solution.

Throughout their career, Farhan has demonstrated expertise in software architecture, data engineering, analytics, and digital transformation. Farhan has successfully led teams, implemented modern scalable solutions, and leveraged cutting-edge technologies, including AWS and Big Data Analytics.

Farhan Asad obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences in 2005. Farhan then pursued an MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from Cornell University from 2018 to 2020. Additionally, Farhan holds a certification of Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist - MCTS from Microsoft.
