Ian McCready

Ian McCready currently serves as the Director of Lending Product Advisory at Trepp, Inc., starting in April 2024. Prior to this role, Ian was a Director at Stout, where contributions included serving as an expert witness on CECL allowance levels, participating in crypto-asset valuation during the bankruptcy emergence of Celsius, and establishing a CECL model/process validation practice. Ian's previous experience at Moody's Analytics involved advising over 50 financial institutions on CECL and IFRS 9 strategies, co-developing a COVID-19 qualitative framework for financial institutions, and addressing audit challenges in credit models. As Vice President of Credit Risk Management at Clarien Bank Limited, Ian restructured the credit risk department, rebuilt internal models, and successfully engaged with regulators. Early career experiences included advisory roles at EY and Alvarez & Marsal, as well as portfolio management at Lehman Brothers. Ian holds a BA in Economics from Boston College.
