Tom Thomas is an accomplished chemist with extensive experience in color development and management within the coatings industry. Currently serving as Lead Chemist at Trespa since December 2016, Tom previously held various key positions at AkzoNobel starting in January 2003, including Manager of the Color Expert team for Vehicle Refinishes and Aerospace Coatings, where responsibilities encompassed leading color development teams, setting up new aerospace labs, and managing lab budgets. Additionally, Tom served as Global Color Trainer and Group Leader at AkzoNobel, certifying color matchers and providing training across multiple international locations. Earlier in their career, Tom was a Senior Color Specialist at BASF Coatings India Ltd, focusing on R&D and technical services for OEM paints. Tom holds a degree in Paint Technology from the University of Mumbai.
