Hein Frey

Hein Frey has extensive work experience in the mining industry. Hein currently holds the position of Manager Mining, Technical and Projects at Nyrstar since May 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President Operations at Trevali starting from October 2019. Hein also held the position of General Manager at Trevali Mining Corporation - Caribou from November 2017.

Hein Frey completed their Bachelor's degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering from the University of Johannesburg between 1996 and 2002. Hein then pursued a Certificate in Rock Mechanics from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika from 2001 to 2004. Finally, from 2016 to 2019, Hein Frey accomplished their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Stellenbosch University.
