Michael Townsend

Michael Townsend is a scientific leader and immunologist with extensive drug development experience, ranging from early discovery research to late-stage clinical programs. They completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University from 2001 to 2005, studying the role of transcription factors in immune lineage development and function. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Imperial College London and a Ph.D. in Immunology & Molecular Biology from the University of Cambridge. Currently, they serve as the Vice President and Head of Translational Biology at TRexBio. Prior to this role, Michael held various positions at Genentech, advancing from Scientist to Senior Director & Distinguished Scientist.
