Dan Crenshaw has extensive experience in the gaming industry, starting in 2005 at BreakAway Games as a Software Tester. Dan then worked as a Junior Designer, where they led the multiplayer map creation for EA's Command & Conquer 3: Kane's Wrath and scripted missions for The Lord of the Rings: Rise of the Witch King. Dan also contributed to content creation and voiceover script editing.
In 2008, Crenshaw joined Zenimax Online Studios as a Content Designer, responsible for establishing the FX creation pipeline and designing and implementing "Main Quest" content for Elder Scrolls Online. Dan later became the Senior Designer and Dungeon and Raid Team Lead, overseeing the design and implementation of group gameplay experiences and acting as the primary vision holder for dungeon systems, layout, encounter design, and quest content.
Since 2014, Crenshaw has been working at Treyarch, initially as a Senior Game Designer. Dan designed and implemented gameplay experiences for multiple levels in the Call of Duty: Black Ops franchise, utilized existing tools and assets to create prototypes, and ensured game maps met quality standards by improving gameplay, implementing assets, and resolving bugs. Dan currently holds the position of Expert Game Designer at Treyarch.
