Mark Maestas has extensive experience in the gaming industry, starting as a Programmer at Novalogic from 2000 to 2003. Mark then worked as a Game Designer at Spark Unlimited in 2004, where they coordinated and controlled level-specific implementation and provided troubleshooting assistance to design groups. In 2005, Mark served as the Mission Scripting Lead at Luxoflux. Since 2006, they have been working at Treyarch, initially as a Scripter and later progressing to Senior Scripter and Expert Game Designer. Mark has contributed to various games in the Call of Duty series, specializing in Zombies mode. In their current role as Lead Game Designer, Mark oversees the development of Treyarch's signature round-based Zombies modes for Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War. Mark is responsible for many aspects of Zombies systems, maps, AI, and feature creation, as well as tuning. Throughout their career, Mark has gained experience in scripting, level design, and game development, making him a valuable asset in the gaming industry.
Mark Maestas attended the University of Arizona from 1991 to 1995, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
