Matt Coutras has a strong background in game development, with experience dating back to 2005. Matt began their career at Tripwire Interactive LLC, where they worked as a 3D Prop Artist on Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45. Matt then moved on to BioWare Mythic as a Senior Terrain Artist, where they contributed to the development of Warhammer Online. In 2010, Coutras joined Carbine Studios as a Senior World Artist for the MMO WildStar, where they were responsible for creating and propping many of the world zones. Matt later transitioned to Treyarch as a Level Designer, working on successful titles such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. In their role as a Senior Level Designer, Coutras played a key role in designing and polishing multiple levels for Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War, including Satellite, Crossroads, and Moscow. Matt also contributed to the Photogrammetry Pipeline at Treyarch, participating in a photogrammetry trip to capture real-life objects for in-game assets.
Matt Coutras attended The Art Institutes from 2001 to 2004, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Media Arts and Animation.
