Brett Barton

Brett is a Director based out of Tri-Merit’s Schaumburg, Illinois office. He is responsible for full life cycle client engagements, including opportunity identification, qualification analysis, quantification and implementation procedures and documentation recommendations.

Brett brings over 9 years of professional accounting experience to Tri-Merit, covering a diverse range of industries including high- and low-tech manufacturing, food and beverage processing, and software development.

Prior to joining Tri-Merit, Brett worked at RSM as a R&D Tax Credit Specialist. Brett has also held a position at global food manufacturer Kerry, leading the credits and incentives initiatives which included the R&D tax credit.

Brett is a Certified Public Accountant holding a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Illinois State University.
