Cto, Viasic Software Division at Triad Semiconductor

Bill Cox has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Bill started their career at National Semiconductor in 1986 as a Programmer. Bill then moved on to QuickLogic, where they worked as a Programmer, contributing to the development of place and route tools for the company's early FPGAs. Bill then joined Synplicity as a Programmer, where they worked on projects such as writing the original schematic generator for HDL Analyst and contributing to early work on the ASIC mapper. Bill later joined ViASIC as the CTO/Founder, taking on various responsibilities such as inventing technologies, coding algorithms, and selling products. After leaving ViASIC in 2010, Bill joined Triad Semiconductor as the CTO of the ViASIC Software Division. Currently, they are working at Google as an SWE, where they build new technologies quickly. One of their notable projects is the Android Cloud Key Vault, which enhances the security of Android backups with secure hardware.

Bill Cox attended the University of California, Berkeley from 1982 to 1986. During this period, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in the field of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS).
