Robert Thomson started their career as the Class President for the Engineering Society of Queen's University in 2011. Robert then worked at Microsoft as both an Experiential Marketing Associate and a Software Sales Specialist from 2011 to 2014. In 2013, they became a Recruitment Coordinator at Anheuser-Busch InBev. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Technology Consultant at BOMBARDIER. In 2018, they were a Product Manager at GigaLab Technologies. In 2019, they briefly worked as a Product Manager for Student Tools at Microverse. From 2016 to the present, they have been an Independent Consultant, providing Contract Product & Brand Management services to start-ups and small businesses, including conducting competition analysis, building brand identity packages, and creating marketing assets. Robert is currently working as a Product Manager at TribalScale starting in 2021.
Robert Thomson began their education at Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained a High School Diploma with a Technical High Skills Major in Science and Technology. Robert then pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Mechanical and Materials Engineering at Queen's University from 2011 to 2016. During this time, they also studied Materials Engineering at the University of Toronto from 2015 to 2016. Additionally, Robert has obtained several certifications including CPR Level C from the Canadian Red Cross, Fall Protection Safety from CSA Ontario Basics, Standard First Aid from the Canadian Red Cross, and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems Certification from the Government of Ontario.
