Matt Powell

Matt Powell has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Matt currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Tribute Technology since May 2023. Prior to that, they worked as an Advisor at Nacelle starting from January 2021. Matt was a Partner at Truth & Systems, a venture studio, since January 2018. Matt also served as a Director on the Board of Directors at Interflora from June 2022 to May 2023. Before that, they held the position of Chief Technology Officer at FTD from March 2020 to May 2023.

In addition, Matt was an Advisor at Kinship Systems, a digital relationship assistant, from June 2019 to January 2023, and briefly served as the Chief Product Officer at Kinship Systems from June 2019 to March 2020. Matt was the Global Chief Technology Officer & Managing Director at KBS, and also held positions such as Co President, NY; Chief Information Officer; Executive Director of Creative Technology; and Director of Business Development from 2008 to 2017.

Matt founded Second Button, LLC, a web-based custom menswear company, where they served as Founder and Chief Technology Officer from August 2008 to September 2011. Matt also held VP roles at Company C, including VP of Digital & Growth from May 2007 to October 2008, and VP of Interactive from January 2006 to May 2007.

Matt began their career at MaintainNet, Inc. where they were the Managing Director from July 2003 to January 2006, leading operations and growth. Matt also served as the Technology Director from September 2000 to June 2003, overseeing the development team and software architecture.

Matt Powell completed their high school education at Shawnee High School from 1993 to 1997, earning a diploma. Matt then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism with a concentration in Photojournalism at Boston University from 1997 to 2000.
