Edwin Chan has a solid work experience in the field of software engineering. Edwin started their career at Mentor Graphics in 2000 as a Software Engineer II and worked there until 2006. Edwin then joined SAIC in 2006 and served as a SW Engineer Principal, specializing in iOS and Android applications development using Swift and Java, cross-platform mobile application development using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and desktop applications development using C++ and Qt. In 2018, Edwin joined Northrop Grumman as a Sr Principal Software Engineer, where they mainly focused on C++, Java, and JavaFX applications development on Linux, as well as continuous integration using Jenkins. Edwin also worked as a Software Engineering Manager at Northrop Grumman from 2019 to 2021. Currently, Edwin is working at Trideum Corporation as a Senior Software Engineer.
Edwin Chan obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from The University of Alabama in Huntsville, where they studied from 1992 to 1998. Edwin later pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the same university, completing their studies from 2000 to 2004. In addition to their formal education, Edwin has obtained the certification of Professional Scrum Product Owner™ I (PSPO I) from Scrum.org in January 2023.
