Michael Bearss

Michael Bearss has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Michael began their career at Columbus State University as a Student Assistant from August 2013 to March 2014. Subsequently, they worked as a Systems Analyst at J2 Associates from March 2014 to January 2015.

In 2015, Michael joined OmegaFi as a Web Developer, where they contributed to all phases of the software product lifecycle and maintained and modified code for existing business applications. Michael also assisted with the maintenance of virtualized servers running Apache and Microsoft SQL Database servers. Michael'stenure at OmegaFi lasted from January 2015 to July 2015.

Following their time at OmegaFi, Michael became a vital part of Trideum Corporation. Michael initially served as an LVC Simulation Engineer from July 2015 to January 2019. In this role, they were responsible for ensuring completion of objectives and facilitating communication with other co-located teams. Michael also made architecture improvements and feature enhancements to OneSAF software and designed web applications for monitoring and managing distributed machines.

Currently, at Trideum Corporation, Michael holds the position of Senior Software Engineer, which they began in January 2019. Michael'sresponsibilities include developing applications to support Cybersecurity Vulnerability Assessment Test Environment (CVATE) tasks, conducting integration events, managing project resources, performing requirements analysis, and facilitating the Agile development process.

Michael Bearss has a strong education background in computer science. Michael obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Columbus State University in the years 2011-2014. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2016-2018. Lastly, they are currently enrolled at The University of Alabama in Huntsville, working towards their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science, which they anticipate completing in 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Michael Bearss has obtained several certifications related to Linux and networking. Michael achieved the certifications of Linux Network Professional, Linux+, Network+, Security+, and A+ from CompTIA in various years between 2014 and 2017. These certifications further enhance their expertise in the field.
