James Ritchie has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. James most recently founded Trigger.dev in 2022, where they automated complex workflows using code and handled API calls. Prior to that, they worked as the Head of Product at Spoof from 2020 to 2022. In this role, they contributed to the development of the company's product.
From 2018 to 2020, James served as the Head of Product at Solve, a popular murder-mystery show on Snap with over 30 million fans. James built a bespoke mobile experience for the show, collaborating with Upfront and Lightspeed Ventures.
Before that, James worked as the Director at Tiny Matter, a design and development agency in London, where they built digital products for clients and developed stand-out games such as Jetset Aces, Qiktionary, and GetFact.
James also held positions as the Design Lead at Thirty Labs Inc. from 2014 to 2015 and at Freuds from 2013 to 2014. In addition, they served as the Lead Designer at WhipCar, the world's first peer-to-peer car rental platform, from 2011 to 2013.
Before joining WhipCar, James worked as a Freelance UX/UI designer from 2007 to 2011. Throughout their career, they have showcased their skills in design, product development, and project management.
James Ritchie completed their education in a sequential manner. James attended Arts University Bournemouth from 2002 to 2005, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design. Following this, they attended the University of the Arts London from 2005 to 2007, where they achieved a Master of Arts degree in Communication Design.
