Howard Abrams has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Howard began their career as a Software Engineer at Paradigm Simulation Inc, where they developed and maintained various products. Howard then worked as a Computer Specialist at Naval Postgraduate School, focusing on researching virtual environments. Following this, Howard joined Muse Communications Corp as a Software Engineer, where they were responsible for design, implementation, and documentation of multiplayer aspects of client and server products. In 2001, they became a Freelance Consultant at Howard-3D, providing visual simulation software and services to clients worldwide.
In 2002, Howard joined CA Technologies as a Senior Software Architect for the eTrust 20/20 Team. Howard later became the Principal Software Architect and VP of Common Technologies, where they researched and incubated user interface technology standards for the company. Howard also served as the Principal Software Architect for the Chorus Team, where they played a crucial role in rescuing a struggling product and supporting its redesign. Howard then became the Distinguished Engineer and Chief Architect of User-Facing Technologies, guiding UI technology and architecture across a diverse product portfolio.
From 2012 to 2015, Howard served as the Distinguished Engineer and SVP of the SaaS Platform at CA Technologies, leading a team of 100+ people in developing and operating a container-based PaaS. Howard successfully brought multiple products to market while significantly reducing time to public availability. In 2015, they took on the role of SVP, Incubation, leading CA's internally focused incubation program and managing over 10 startup businesses simultaneously. Finally, Howard joined Trilogy as the Portfolio CTO (formerly EVP of Technical Product Management) in 2018.
Throughout their career, Howard has demonstrated strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to bring products to market efficiently.
Howard Abrams has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Naval Postgraduate School. Howard also holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Graduate Certificate in Technology Entrepreneurship from the University of Maryland.
