Derek Shanks is currently the Director of Product Management at Trimble Inc. within the Geospatial Optical division, a role they have held since 2022. Previously, they served as an Optical Product Manager from 2017 to 2019. Derek has also held various positions at Trimble, including Product Director for Core Positioning Hardware and Market Manager for Geospatial Robotic Total Stations. They earned their degree from the University of Otago, where they studied from 2007 to 2010.
