Mark Howell

Mark Howell is currently the Lead Control Systems Engineer at Trimble, specializing in designing automatic motion control systems algorithms for off-highway industrial machinery. With past roles, including Staff Researcher at General Motors, Mark has extensive experience in researching vehicle chassis control systems and developing diagnostic algorithms for vehicle health management. Mark earned a PhD in Complex Systems from The University of Sheffield and has held academic positions, including Research Fellow at Loughborough University, where they engaged in research and taught various engineering subjects. Their interests lie in applying intelligent control methodologies and machine learning techniques to real-world challenges.
