Markku Virtanen

Markku Virtanen has over three decades of experience in various roles within the technology and services sector. Starting as an IT operator at Valmet Data, Markku progressed to significant positions including Team Leader, Project Manager, and System Specialist at TietoEnator Oyj. Markku then served as a Partner and Board Member at GISnet Solutions Oy and later at Fifth Element Oy, where responsibilities included Team Leadership and Key Account Management. After transitioning to Trimble in 2015 as a Key Account Manager, Markku took on roles such as Director of Operations and Solutions Delivery Director for North America, focusing on service enhancement and customer support in the Connected Forest product line. Markku holds a Master of Science in Economics from Jyväskylä University.
