Ryan Lai

Ryan Lai is a Senior Software Engineer at Trimble Inc., specializing in computer vision and photogrammetry algorithms since September 2014. Prior experience includes a postdoctoral researcher role at The Ohio State University from June 2010 to August 2014, where research focused on video geo-localization and 3D spatial-spectral information integration for medical applications. Additional positions at The Ohio State University included visiting scholar and postdoctoral researcher, concentrating on 3D recovery from sensor networks and markerless motion measurement of animals and humans. Earlier roles as a graduate research/teaching assistant and teaching associate involved assisting in various surveying and photogrammetry courses. Ryan Lai holds a Ph.D. in Geodetic Science from The Ohio State University, a Master’s degree in Surveying Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, both from National Taiwan University.
