Thomas Chaperon

Thomas Chaperon is a distinguished engineer at Trimble Inc. since October 2003, specializing in 3D scanning algorithms and software development for 3D data processing, including Trimble RealWorks and Trimble Business Center. Chaperon has received multiple accolades, including the Trimble Technical Innovation Award in Q3 2021 and Q2 2016 for contributions to 3D scan registration and storage tank tools, respectively. In addition, Chaperon is a co-founder of La Maison Rouge, an eco-friendly hostel in Saint-Étienne. Previous roles include postdoctoral researcher at Télécom ParisTech and researcher at MINES ParisTech, with education spanning a PhD in 3D modeling and multiple master's degrees in applied mathematics and computer graphics.
