Apollo Baytan is an experienced professional in the biotechnology field with a strong background in lateral flow manufacturing and molecular biology. Currently serving as the Point of Care Supervisor at Trinity Biotech since June 2018, Apollo specializes in the development of lateral flow devices. Previous roles include positions at Xen Biosciences as a Scientist, and at Quidel, where Apollo contributed to the creation of Fluorescent-based IVD devices and significant cost-reduction initiatives. Earlier experience spans various roles at Life Technologies from 1994 to 2006, including improvements in nucleic acid purification and the development of novel PCR kits. Apollo holds a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from San Diego State University.
