Duncan was a Security Research Engineer at Resolvn from October 2019 to July 2021, participating in various cybersecurity exercises and compliance exercises.
In the US Army, Duncan held positions such as Plans and Operations Officer, Company Commander, Software Developer, and Executive Officer. Duncan managed and coordinated operations across three time zones, led a 90-person Cyber Company, and commanded missions in support of USCENTCOM. Duncan also maintained, developed, and researched tool capabilities for USCYBERCOM.
Duncan's military experience also includes roles as a Squadron Movement Officer, Contracting Officer Representative, Scout Platoon Leader, and Cadet-in-Charge of a Cyber Defense Exercise. In these roles, they supervised unit movement, conducted contracting endeavors, prepared soldiers for combat, and led a team in a cyber security competition.
Additionally, Duncan had a brief stint as a Student at the US Army and West Point, where they gained valuable knowledge and skills. Overall, Duncan M. has a strong background in both cybersecurity and military leadership roles.
Duncan M. completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with Honors from the United States Military Academy at West Point, where they studied from 2007 to 2011. In addition to their degree, they obtained several certifications, including CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Security+ from CompTIA in May and June 2016 respectively. Duncan also received the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification from EC-Council in April 2016.
