Shawn Carpenter

Shawn Carpenter is the Founder and Managing Partner of Three Tree Ventures since October 2011, a seed-stage venture capital firm focused on investing up to $1M in innovative startups. Carpenter is also an Angel Investor at Validia and serves as a Limited Partner and Advisor at Crosscut Ventures, which manages over $300 million. Advisory Board membership at Trinity Cyber and seed investment roles in companies like BarTrack, Inc., KeyCaliber, and American Weed Co. complement experience, with additional investments in PeerNova and Compass, the latter achieving a significant IPO in 2021. Carpenter's educational background includes training in Nuclear Physics at Nuclear Power School and studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the University of South Dakota.
