Cheyne Maclaskey has a diverse work experience in various industries. Cheyne started their career in 2010 as the Owner of Maclaskey Developments, where they specialized in developing and reinventing hospitality concepts. In 2013, they became the Owner of Clean'n Green, a non-toxic cleaning company. Cheyne also co-owned Dimebox Ballroom, a wedding venue, starting in 2014. Additionally, Cheyne Maclaskey was involved in the Burning Man community as the Austin Regional Area Contact and later became the DPW Commissary Manager. Cheyne was a member of the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) starting in 2014. Cheyne worked as the Austin Liaison and Event Lead for Trinity Event Staffing, connecting companies with event staffing services. Cheyne also managed artist Jesse Saunders and owned and operated Mac Artist Agency. Cheyne Maclaskey has a background in sales and marketing, working at Fire and Ice Hall, and also worked as a Brand Ambassador for various brands in the Texas area.

Cheyne Maclaskey attended The Art Institutes from 2002 to 2004, where they earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Culinary Arts. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a certification in TABC from the Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission in April 2013.
