Stephen Keddie has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Stephen began their career as a Hardware Design Technician at Open University in 1976. Stephen then worked as an Electronics/Optics Engineer at FujiFilm Electronic Imaging, where they were responsible for developing electronic hardware and reducing costs through re-design of complex printed circuit boards. In 1997, they joined Land Rover as a Project Engineer, where they designed and managed the installation of process/product facilities for a new vehicle manufacturing line. Stephen later worked at LuK Leamington as a Software Team Leader and at Schaeffler Group as a Project Engineering Team Leader, leading software development projects for safety critical systems in the automotive industry.

In 2009, Stephen Keddie joined the General Lighthouse Authorities of the UK & Ireland as a Project Manager, before moving to Trinity House in 2010. At Trinity House, they held various roles such as Project Manager, Programme Manager, and currently serves as the Head of Engineering and Operations.
