Matthew Smith

Matthew Smith is a seasoned professional in the fields of energy, environment, and climate change, currently serving as a Senior Consultant at Trinomics since January 2017. In this role, Matthew manages multiple projects for public and private clients, contributing expertise in project management, modeling, and quality assurance. Prior to Trinomics, Matthew worked as a Consultant at Ecofys, focusing on climate strategies and policies with a diverse range of clients, including the European Commission, World Bank, and various sector organizations. With earlier experience as an Energy and Environment Consultant at ECORYS and an accounts assistant, combined with teaching experience in Japan, Matthew possesses a robust background in economic research and consultancy. Academic credentials include an MSc in Environment and Resource Management from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a BA (Hons) in Economics from Nottingham Trent University.
