Bart Cappelle

Bart Cappelle has extensive work experience in the banking and finance sector. Bart has held various leadership roles at Triodos Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland Business, and ABN AMRO Bank N.V. At Triodos Bank, they led the design and implementation of the Triodos Operating Model for the CFO function. Bart also served as Director Finance and Control and Director Risk and Compliance, CRO. At Royal Bank of Scotland Business, they held the positions of Chief Operating Officer Belgium, Program Manager, Head Client Service, and Operations France, Belgium, and Luxembourg, and COO Luxembourg. At ABN AMRO Bank N.V., they served as Country Head of Operations and Operations Manager. Bart also has research experience as a Research Assistant at Ghent University and served in the Belgian Defence during their military service.

Bart Cappelle holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Applied Mathematics from Ghent University, which they earned from 1988 to 1994. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's Degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Ghent University between 1984 and 1988. Bart completed their high school education at KA St-Michiels, specializing in Latin-Mathematics from 1978 to 1984. Additionally, Bart Cappelle obtained certifications in PRINCE2™ Practitioner and PRINCE2™ Foundation from AXELOS Global Best Practice in 2016.
