André MacEdo

André Macedo is an experienced machine learning professional with a strong academic background in mathematics. Currently serving as a Senior Machine Learning Scientist at Tripadvisor since July 2022, André previously held the position of Machine Learning Scientist II at Semasio from June 2021 to June 2022. André's teaching experience includes serving as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Reading, where responsibilities encompassed teaching tutorial classes and grading assignments in mathematics. Additional roles include Sessional Lecturer at ISPGAYA and Junior Researcher at the Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto. André began a solid research foundation as an Undergraduate Research Fellow at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. André holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of Reading, a Master's degree from the University of Warwick, and a Bachelor's degree from Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto.
