Russell Johnson is an accomplished data and technology leader with a proven track record of building data-driven cultures and delivering measurable business impact through analytics, AI, and innovation. As Vice President of Data at Viator, he leads the company’s end-to-end data strategy—spanning analytics engineering, machine learning, experimentation, and product and operational analytics—ensuring that data drives performance and growth across Viator’s platforms.

Russell has built and scaled high-performing teams and delivered transformative data solutions across industries including retail, technology, and financial services. Prior to Viator, he held leadership roles at Marks & Spencer, Meta, and LivePerson, where he spearheaded enterprise-level data and AI initiatives that enhanced product capabilities and customer experiences.

Originally from Atlanta and now based in London, Russell is passionate about fostering data literacy, mentoring future tech leaders, and embedding analytics at the core of strategic decisions. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, motorcycling, kayaking, sailing, and playing guitar.
