Scott Wegener

Scott Wegener has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Scott started their career with Myer Stores Ltd in 1986 as a Management Cadet and Customer Service Manager. Scott then worked at Coles Myer as a Management Cadet and Customer Service Manager from 1995 to 1997. From 1989 to 2000, they served as a Sales Representative at Dunlop Flooring. At Pacific Dunlop, they held the roles of Sales Manager and Sales Representative from 1997 to 1998 and 1998 to 2001, respectively. Scott briefly worked as the Marketing Services Manager at QLD, National Customer in 2001. From 2000 to 2004, they were a Business Development Manager at Carpet Choice where they focused on recruitment, establishing company stores, and providing mentoring and training to franchisees. At Carpet One Floor & Home, they served as the General Manager from 2004 to 2005. Their next role was at Virgin Australia as a Partnership Manager in the Financial Services department from 2005 to 2012, where they played a crucial role in negotiating and launching partnerships. From 2012 onwards, they joined Tripadvisor and held various roles including Senior Key Account Manager, Head of OTA's - Asia Pacific, Head of Sales - APAC, Head of Global Sales, and Associate Director of Global Sales. Currently, they are working as the Director of Sales, APAC at Tripadvisor.

Scott Wegener attended Luther College from 1980 to 1985, where they obtained a Higher School Certificate. From 1986 to 1988, they completed a Myer Management Cadetship and earned a Certificate of Retail Management. Later, from 1992 to 1994, Scott pursued Business Management at the Australian Institute of Management, resulting in the completion of a Certificate in that field.
