David Schwarz

Director, Research Engineering at TRIPP

David Schwarz is the Director of Research Engineering at TRIPP. David has over seven years of experience as a software engineer, with a focus on developing innovative solutions for new form factor computing, battery fast charging, processor power quality of service, and user behavior decision tree pipelines. In their previous role as an Advisory Researcher at Lenovo, they led the development of a voice assistant for new form factor computing with a custom multilingual natural language processing (NLP) pipeline, built on Unity 3D. David also participated in the development of an augmented reality (AR) application for laryngoscope monitoring in collaboration with Duke Medicine’s Neonatal Care division, and led the design and implementation of a handwriting recognition solution for Android. David is an expert in biometric technologies, with a keen interest in finding new ways to apply these technologies in consumer products.

David Schwarz has earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Neurobiology and Neurosciences from Duke University, as well as a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biology/Biological Sciences, Computer Science from the University of Puerto Rico.
