Jonathon Robinson has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Jonathon started their career as a Software Developer at IBM in 2005, where they worked on creating a language translation tracking tool. Jonathon then moved on to Geosign in 2007, where they developed and supported various emerging websites.
In the same year, Jonathon joined BlackBerry as a Dev Lead, leading software teams and building mission-critical software using Java and JBoss Application Server. Jonathon also served as a Certified ScrumMaster and Certified Product Owner, helping customers prioritize features based on business needs.
From 2014, Jonathon worked at FlightNetwork.com, initially as a Senior Software Developer and then as a Development Team Lead. Jonathon eventually became a Software Development Manager, responsible for managing multiple projects and leading a growing team. Additionally, they were also involved in designing REST APIs and architecting microservices for future scale and growth.
Currently, Jonathon is employed at TripStack as a Senior Software Architect, a role they took on in 2019.
Jonathon Robinson attended the University of Waterloo from 2001 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics with Honours in Computer Science, specializing in the Software Engineering Option. As for additional certifications, they received the Principles of Reactive Programming from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) in June 2015 and the Functional Programming Principles in Scala from the same institution in November 2014. In addition, they are a Certified Scrum Product Owner and a Certified ScrumMaster, having obtained these certifications from the Scrum Alliance in September 2011 and January 2011, respectively.
