Russell Stenberg has had a diverse range of work experiences in the field of animation and game development. Russell began their career as a Freelance Character Animator for Wizard Animation Studios in 2006. This was followed by a role as an Animator at EA Mythic from 2005 to 2010, where they worked on various animation projects including Goblin grips, Dark Elf Females, and Siege Weapons. Stenberg then joined CCP as an Animator from 2010 to 2014, where they were involved in creating unique and memorable content. Russell later worked as an Animator at Xaviant from 2014 to 2015, contributing to the production of Lichdom and being involved in AI/Animation network creation. Stenberg went on to work as a Contract Animator at Phosphor Games in 2015, where they worked remotely on motion capture data for cinematic scenes. From 2016 to the present, Stenberg has been a Tech Artist at Tripwire Interactive LLC, where they have been utilizing their skills for character animation. Stenberg also had a short-term role at Citadel Studios Inc in early 2016, where they were responsible for various character-based tasks such as updating rigs and implementing a layered state machine system. Overall, Stenberg has had a broad range of experiences in the animation and game development industry, showcasing their skills and adaptability.
Russell Stenberg attended Mahtomedi Senior High from 1997 to 1999 and obtained a Diploma. Following this, from 1998 to 2002, they studied at the Art Institutes International, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Media Arts and Animation.
