Thomas Sammons has a diverse work experience spanning over multiple industries. Thomas started their career as a hairdresser and worked as a self-employed hairdresser for eight years. In 2015, they transitioned into the gaming industry, starting as a QA Tester at 2K. Thomas later became a Senior QA Tester and then an Associate Lead. In 2018, Thomas joined Private Division as a QA Associate Lead and eventually became a Quality Assurance Test Lead. In 2021, they worked as a Software Development Test Engineer at MahiGaming. Currently, they are employed at Tripwire Interactive, where they have held the roles of Senior QA Lead and Interim QA Manager - Internal & Second Party.

Thomas Sammons' education history begins in 2004 when they attended the University of Nevada, Reno for Graphic Design. Thomas then transferred to the University of Nevada-Las Vegas in 2005, where they continued their studies in Graphic Design until 2006. In 2007, they attended the Academy of Hair Design, Nevada, where they obtained a Certification in Hair Styling/Stylist and Hair Design. Alongside their formal education, Thomas also obtained a Hair Designer certification from the Academy of Hair Design, Nevada in April 2007.

In terms of additional certifications, Thomas obtained several certifications from LinkedIn. In September 2020, they completed certifications in Business Ethics, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging, How to Present and Stay on Point, Project Management Foundations, Project Management Foundations: Small Projects, Scheduling for Creatives, Social Media Marketing: Managing Online Communities, Succeeding in a New Role By Managing Up, and What to Do in the First 90 Days of Your New Job. In June 2019, they completed a certification in Collaboration Principles and Process, and in May 2018, they completed a certification in Effective Listening.
