Dr. Florian Berthold

Dr. Florian Berthold started their work experience in 2003 as a Consultant at EY, where they worked until 2005. Dr. Florian then moved on to Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, where they worked as a Project Manager from 2005 to 2010. Following that, they held the position of Leiter Zentrales Controlling at Hamburg Süd from 2010 to 2014. In 2014, they joined AIDA Cruises as the Vice President Controlling & Reporting, and they worked in this role until 2016. In 2016, Dr. Berthold founded and became CEO of TripUp GmbH, a company that offers shore excursions for cruises. Additionally, in 2021, they became a founding investor at Tripedeo, where they worked until October 2021.

Dr. Florian Berthold completed their education with a focus on economics. Dr. Florian obtained a Diplom-Ökonom degree in Wirtschaftswissenschaften, the field of study, from an undisclosed institution, during the period 1998 to 2003. Later, they pursued a Ph.D. in Wirtschaftswissenschaften from Universität Witten/Herdecke from 2007 to 2009. Additionally, they also studied Ciencias Económicas at Universidad de Buenos Aires for a brief period in 2000.
