Trevor Johnston

Trevor is General Counsel of Trive Capital. He is responsible for managing all legal matters related to Trive Capital, its funds, and investments. Trevor joined the firm in 2018 as Deputy General Counsel, with a primary focus of supporting Trive’s portfolio companies.

Prior to joining Trive Capital, Trevor was a partner in the restructuring and insolvency group of a large international law firm in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he represented lenders and other parties in loan restructurings and workouts, bankruptcy proceedings, federal and state court litigation, and other distressed transactions. Prior to private practice, Trevor was a judicial law clerk to United States District Judge Henry Coke Morgan, Jr. in the Eastern District of Virginia.

Trevor received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, and his B.S., summa cum laude with honors, from Virginia Tech.
