Trey Olson

Trey is the Head of Tax at Trive Capital. His responsibilities include transaction structuring, fund-level and deal-level tax planning, and oversight of the tax compliance and reporting function.

Prior to joining Trive, Trey spent five years at Hudson Advisors L.P., investment advisor to the Lone Star Funds, where he most recently served as Director and Senior Tax Counsel in Hudson’s Legal Department. In that capacity, Trey was responsible for structuring real estate and private equity deals originated by the Lone Star Funds in the Americas and for oversight of certain of Hudson’s global tax functions, including transfer pricing. Prior to his role at Hudson, Trey spent 12 years at Ernst & Young LLP in the firm’s Dallas, Washington D.C., and London offices where he advised foreign and U.S.-based corporate clients on international and transaction tax matters.

Trey received BA, MBA and JD degrees from the University of Oklahoma, as well as an MS in Accounting degree from the University of Texas at Dallas.
